Job Description: 

Key Job Responsibilities:

 

  • Source, evaluate, and onboard new vendors to meet the organization’s material and service requirements.
  • Identify and evaluate materials based on technical specifications, industry standards, and organizational requirements.
  • Collaborate with R&D, production, and quality assurance teams to ensure materials meet required standards.
  • Conduct feasibility studies and cost-benefit analyses for material substitution or optimization.
  • Conduct vendor audits to ensure compliance with quality standards, delivery schedules, and other criteria for newly developed vendors.
  • Establish and cultivate solid relationships with suppliers in order to secure competitive pricing and favorable terms, ultimately transitioning them into regular vendors for bulk supplies.
  • Monitor industry trends and advancements to identify opportunities for innovation and cost savings
  • Evaluate supply chain risks and develop strategies to mitigate them
  • Work with cross-functional teams to ensure smooth integration of new materials and vendors into operations.
  • Maintain accurate records of material trials, vendor evaluations, and procurement activities for new raw materials, new vendor development, and explore new vendors from global exhibitions and new technologies.
  • Provide regular updates and reports to stakeholders on material and vendor performance and development progress.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory and organizational standards
  • Ensure procurement processes align with company policies and best practices.
  • Address quality issue and work with supplier to resolve problems
  • Prepare RFQs (Request for Quotations), evaluate proposals, and finalize purchase agreements.
  • Help onboard new suppliers into internal vendor databases

Qualifications & Skills:

 

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Supply Chain (Preferable)
  • 0 - 2 years of experience in a Buyer or Procurement position.
  • Strong understanding of Procurement practices
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Strong technical skills in MS Office, Excell and SAP (Preferable)
  • Strong communication skills and fluent in English, and Mandarin (Mandatory)
  • Full UAE Driving License (Preferable)
